The Mayor and former mayors take part in the Donostia/San Sebastian's Recent Memory roundtable

The Mayor of Donostia-San Sebastián, Eneko Goia, and former mayors have taken part in a roundtable entitled Donostia/San Sebastián’s Recent Memory. The initiative was part of the programme organised to mark the arrival of the Remembrance Square travelling exhibition to the capital of Gipuzkoa. The exhibition is a Gogora Institute initiative and can be visited in a marquee in the Alderdi Eder gardens until 8 June.
Remembrance Square is a citizen participation project that seeks to compile and showcase accounts of what happened in the Basque Country in recent decades in order to construct a shared and pluralistic memory. This travelling phase of the Remembrance Square initiative has four objectives: to disseminate and share the remembrance process through an exhibition and drive a reflection constructed between all of us, provide a space where the general public can leave their accounts, work on the memories at municipal level by driving dynamics in order to share critical reflections of the past, and for the Gogora Institute to reach out to the public.
The Remembrance Square exhibition has so far visited Bilbao, Durango, Tolosa, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Eibar.
