Gogora is implementing three preferential lines of action aimed at searching for the disappeared, with the aim of clarifying the truth of the Historical Memory and the rights of the victims of the Spanish Civil War.
- Exhumations: since 2003, the Basque Government has a co-operation agreement in force with Aranzadi to search for the people who disappeared during the Civil War, an agreement that Gogora has managed since 2017.
- DNA bank: a DNA bank has been set up to facilitate the identification processes of the exhumed remains. The bank contains the genetic samples of individuals who accredit that they have a relative who disappeared during the Spanish Civil War.
- Personalised report: Families who wish to obtain information or a relative who disappeared or suffered reprisals during the war can request a personalised report.
