Elgeta pays tribute to the women resistance fighters and those suffering reprisals under Franco´s regime and dictatorship

The GOGORA Director, Aintzane Ezenarro, and the Victims and Human Rights Director, Monika Hernando, this morning attended the tribute in Elgeta to the women resistance fighters and those suffering reprisals under Franco’s regime and dictatorship, on Intxorta Resistance Day. The ceremony was organised by the Intxorta 1937 Kultur Elkartea association.

During the ceremony, forty women presented a commemorative sculpture to as many other women, who were relatives of women militants who suffered reprisals. Monika Hernando presented the statuette to the granddaughter of one of these militants.
